Hey everyone! This list is sorely in need of an update, which I will be working on shortly! -Philip, 2/22/2013

Here is a list of possible venues where you may host a Free Skool class if you are unable/would rather not host in your home. If you can think of any free public spaces that are not listed here, feel free to email them, post them as a comment, or post them on the Facebook page.

Parks
-Curtis Hixon Park
600 N. Ashley Dr.
Tampa, FL 33602
Parking is downtown and during daytime hours requires payment. After hours (6 pm?) Parking is free downtown
Hours: Sunrise to 10 p.m.

-Lettuce Lake
6920 E Fletcher Avenue
Tampa FL 33637
Location: Fletcher Avenue at Hillsborough River (just west of Interstate 75)
Park entry is $2 per vehicle up to eight people/car and $1 per person over eight.
Spring/Summer 8 am – 7:30 pm
Fall/Winter 8 am – 5:30 pm

Libraries

Libraries in Hillsborough County offer community rooms of various sizes for use. There is a form to fill out to request this space, which Kim Pham has. If you are interested in using one of these rooms and are not familiar with the process, email tampafreeskool@gmail.com and we will help you determine what location is best and walk through the process of acquiring the space for use.

For evening classes, The Jimmie B. Keel closes at 9pm from Monday through Wednesday and at 8pm on Thursday.  If you need to hold a class later or on a different day, the Andrew Blythe Library is available.

Residences

If you ask prior and don’t need an excessive amount of space, Charlei’s carport is available. As long as you don’t absolutely require indoor amenities for the duration of the class period (for times when she isn’t home), this is a great spot to hold outdoor or semi-messy classes. Email chetelatc@gmail.com to get permission and see if the class will work in this spot)

Kim has a big yard and carport that is available for outdoor and semi-messy classes as well.  Email kim@thetealounge.com for permission.

Local Businesses

Kaleisia Tea Lounge is available for classes on most days and nights.  Please contact kim@thetealounge.com to reserve your space.

Cafe Hey is friends with Tampa Free Skool and if you’re interested in using their space, please contact cafehey@gmail.com.
